Good times / good pictures

Well, we found Colgate's next posterboy! Sucking the toothpaste out of the tube is Race's latest facination. And you have to chase him around (as in the photo) to get it back before it is empty. It's a big game.

No story, just a good pic of Race livin' large in Mexico.

Well, he will finally keep a hat on his head... sometimes. And, by the way, Mom, he does not look like a girl! We like his hair long! :-} It's the style now, didn't ya know, like in the 70s when we were kids. Oh my gosh!!!

Oh so sleepy...Nah! Just a quick recharge of the batteries.

Here he is with Romina's glasses. He will finally keep sunglass on, too...sometimes. Does anybody else see the Drew Carey likeness?

Here is a pic of Daddy messing with Race, which of course always makes him giggle.

Since the (only) sport in Mexico is futbol a.k.a. soccer Race figured he should try to learn. Hey this is pretty easy, I can do this!!!.......

...well, maybe after a few lessons.

And finally...we went to a birthday party at Chris and John's house for Ruth's Birthday (she was 28), and we had mariachis as the musical entertainment. How cool!! We really enjoyed it.

And so did Race. He was so amazed by them, he just stopped in his tracks and stared at them. It was so cute! They didn't even mind him being in the way. We all had a good time, and everyone sang (except us, since we didn't know the words, ha) and danced. Very good time. And the mole (pronounced mo lay) that Ruth's mom made was the best I have had yet down here! She said she would teach me, and I have to teach her one of my recipes. Deal!!!!

Loads of Fun!!!

As usual, Brayan and Race are having a good old time (sorry, the action shots are a bit blurry at times). Here they are pushing each other around on Mickey, a few days before Mickey lost his head. Poor Mickey! The neighbors gave us Mickey (since their kids have out grown him), and they had him for 3 years, we have him for 1 month and rip his head off!! It is not the first toy we have destroyed here, by the way!
More pushing each other around .... weeeeeeeee!
...and now it is MY turn!!! Yes, that is exactly what it looks like. Race is kicking Brayan, because he won't get off Mickey. (Sigh) What's a parent to do?
And for more no-no's... "I have been told and told not to stand on my Radio Flyer, but..."
"...I just can't resist!!!"
"What?? What did I do??"

Mmmmm, cookies!! Just FYI, for all you cooks out there. Evidently, altitude really does make a difference, or maybe it is the slightly different ingredients, but cooking here takes longer and does not turn out the same. Don't get me wrong, we still love to eat everything here, and the cookies were still delicious, but different. I guess everything changes at 8500 feet above sea level!
Yum, Mom!

We love you all and miss you very much!! See you soon!

Sante Fe

Now that things are back to "normal" on Saturday we LOADED up the car, 4 adults and 2 kids. Then headed out for Sante Fe, which is about a 30 minute car ride.

On Friday, it rained pretty good for maybe 20 minutes, then the sun came back out. While it was raining Brayan and Race ran outside to play in the rain. Race was a little apprehensive at first.

But he finally figured out that this is kind of fun afterall. There was plenty of squeeling, screaming, and laughing...........The kids had fun too!!!

Race is learning new things nearly everday. This is his latest, and most dangerous feat. Climb up the stairs, then down the stairs, upstairs, downstairs ,upstairs, downstairs, get the point?

This is how the trip to Sante Fe began. All because dad didn't let "His Highness" into the drivers seat at the exact moment he wanted to be there. Going along with this display of displeasure now goes the lay on the floor, kicking, screaming, and head butting whatever is nearby tantrum. UH HUH, let's have 6 more!

Ok, the fit of rage has been resolved and we are under way. Sante Fe here we come!!....Ready or not.

We found the local Harley dealership, so we stopped in for a quick look. And a couple of $35.00 t-shirts.

Race found a new toy for himself, but we agreed that dad can ride it when he wants to. After our negotiating we went to mom for approval....well disapproval is more like it. For those wondering this 96 c.i. Fatboy stickers at $22,800.00 USD.

After we resolved the kicking and sreaming fit of rage when I was told NO!, we went to the mall. Talk about a mall WOW!! This place is gigantic, three floors high and a 1/2 mile long. I am guessing, but atleast 500 stores, maybe 700. This is the Rainforest Cafe in the mall. We walked thru the free section, then moved on.

At the toy store we found Lightening McQueen so we stopped for a photo opportunity. He was pretty cool but his fame went to his cylinder heads, he didn't say a word to us, stupid movie stars.

Having enough of the stuck up movie stars we moved on to my dream date....Ken!! As long as he has been in the lime light you would figure he would be over himself....Nope, he was the same as Lightening.

Ok that's it for this report. We'll update again after our next adventure.
